China earthquake Contributions written Proposal 2008-5-17 　          On May 12th, 2008, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake worstly hit Wenchuan area in Sichuan Province,China. The death toll rose to 22,069 nationwide as of 2 p.m. Friday, while 168,669 people were injured, according to the emergency response office of the State Council.     Wherever there is a need, there is a hand from all sides. In response to the proposal of Red Cross of China, the Xiamen Red Cross appeals that the public from all walks of life be mobilized. Everybody is ready for reaching out their help.
